my 98 blazer ABS light likes to play games. it comes on when it wants too. i recently replace my passenger wheel bearing cause it went out and it came with a new speed sensor. light never was on before and after i put the bearing in. but when i put new brakes and rotors on the front then it started to come on and go off etc. it seems to only come on when i turn and when i hit a bump on my drivers front wheel weird. but i also found out my lower ball joint is going bad can that cause it for ABS LIGHT to come on i took the sensor out and cleaned it and put a new seal on it. still comes on. and when im only going 5 mph or below my ABS kicks in so i said hell with it and took the fuse out for the ABS. but i want to fix the problem what whats causing it. help

did you try putting old sensor on new hub?
unlikely but maybe new one is bad?
if it only happens on driver side bumps then i would have to say connection at harness needs to be checked.
i dont believe lower ball joint could effect abs in any way.
the abs takes its reading from the hub excitor ring on each wheel and compares speeds...then acts accordingly to keep the wheels at a matched rate.
prob over simplified it but you get the idea.

My ABS light has been acting up too. It stays on when I start up the engine and stays on when I come to my first stop 1/4 mile from the house. When I come to the second stop a mile down the road, it goes out and stays out until I shut it off and start up again. The brakes work fine it's just annoying seeing that light on.
