Abs light on after vcm tsb 12167310 install...

After installing the famous GM part #12167310 exactly per instructions as a precaution to make sure my trans doesn't go out again at 60K miles, I now have an abs light glowing in gauge cluster. I'm now wondering if I should replace the 230k old vcm/ecu given the bad grounds in circuit board.
I will say that after installing what is basically a jump wire for additional ground circuit in the computer, my new trans shifts even better and the vibration I had at 70 mph is all but gone. (90% better)
Anyone have any suggestions for me about this? The trans guy said that installing the jump wire has caused some abs lights to glow but he wasn't sure what the fix was other than a new computer???
This might be a good one for the Captain?

Yes, thanks for response. I did verify the service code and mine was affected. Upon further review, I forgot to plug in top center connector which put the abs light on. Duh!
After plugging it in, the abs light disappeared!
The truck seems to shift better now also! Worth the money imho!
