ABS light and Parking Brake light issue

ABS light and Parking Brake light issue
So I'm having a bad feeling about my transmission but another problem is getting worse. Within a 7 mile drive, my abs and parking brake lights will come on together about 4 times. when they do, there is sometimes a ka clunk..like the brakes try to actuate for a split second. I generally tap the brake pedal and it goes away. Sometimes the engine will die also. If the engine dies, as soon as I coast to a stop and turn off the key, it will start right back up.
I'm thinking about replacing both abs sensors up front. I suppose removing the hub is the worst part? What would the torque be for the spindle nut?
Thanks

You don't have to remove the hub to replace the wheel speed sensors. Just the brake caliper and rotor. WSS has one hex key bolt holding it in the hub. But before I spent the money on new WSS, I'd test the with a DMM. Don't even need to remove anything to do that. Back probe the sensor connector on the frame with T-pins. Don't allow the T-pins to touch each other. You can also do the test with the connector disconnect if you'd rather.
Just watch that you don't deform the contacts or let your leads contact each other. Set your DMM on ACmv, spin the tire by hand. You should see around 500mv (AC) if I remember correctly. Both WSS should put out close to the same result. Use the MIN/MAX feature on your DMM so it will capture the results.

Need to know the specifics of your vehicle. The response I gave was based on a Gen 2 Blazer/S10 with 4wd. If that is what you have the sensor is inserted into the wheel hub assembely and held in place with one hex key bolt. Anytime you post a question you should list the specifics of your vehicle...year, make, model, engine, vin code and anything else pertinent to your question. Or you can insert into your signature block (see mine below) and with every post the details we need to help are always posted automatically.

Same part number on mine. Id try the wiring fix and see if takes care of the problem. Worked for me. Send me a pm with your address and I'll send you two pins from my junkyard connector and you can make your own $65 GM part.
