Default ABS Light on then off with 4x4

Hey everyone i just noticed tonight that my abs light comes on and stays on, but i figured out that if i engage ymy 4x4 high then back to 2 wheel then turn the truck off and back on it the light dosent turn on anymore until like the next day or so. Any suggestion??

Thanks

By the way 1999 LS 4X4 82,000 miles replaced bothfront wheel bearings about 5000 miles ago.

must be intermittent but...if the light is or has been on you have a current or history code. Either scan it and let us know the codes or have it scanned....has to be something. JP

other the blindfolding yourself and stabbing in the dark.....Look at the ABS wire that was installed 5,000 miles ago-from your wheel bearing-running to the upper A frame finally to a connector on the frame. Look close at where the wire bolts with a clip to the A frame with a 10mm nut(out near wheel). I have had all kinds of trouble in the past, with aftermarket wheel bearings that WERE NOT Timkin bearings. If you used a Timkin(unless installed wrong) I doubt this is your problem. If you used any other bearing.....do look where I described. Other that....a visual look is about all you can do without a scan tool and that usually won't cut it. JP[&o]

If you used a Timkin-unless someone twisted the #*@& out of the wire, I doubt that the wire is your issue. I think that you'll ultimately have to have it scanned and either-a)have it fixed or b) gather the info given and report back the this site...There are so many things it could be...like going to the doctor and telling him that you don't feel good-what do I do Doc[&:]?
