Abs Problems
Over the weekend the Abs light came on in my 96 Jimmy. So today I took it the shop to figure out what's going on and the scanner couldn't find nor read any of the abs codes. We tried a different scan with the same result. 2 different snap on scanner were used. From what I was told there are no fuses for the abs unit so in other words my pump could be bad. Has anyone had a problem like this and what was the out come.
My abs light came on at the same time my master cylinder went out on me on my 95 blazer, this was about a yr ago if that. Fixed the m.c. and had scan done for abs light and showed no codes as well. Buddy who helps work on my ride, told me that i have an abs sensor on each tire and one of them may be bad or else i just need to reset the system (never have done either one since my abs has workd fine all along). U may check the sensors and see if one is bad.

There is, I believe a fuse, people pull them all the time to band-aid the problem of low speed abs activation. A good mechanic should be able to read your abs codes if he has the right tool and KNOWS HOW TO USE IT. Have you had low speed activation of your abs or just the light?
