AC compressor HELP
I have a 1999 blazer with the v6 in it. My ac compressor runs great sometimes and sometimes it just shuts down for no reason at all, I am full of freon and all relays and fuses are good. When the ac compressor stops working I have voltage at the fuse box on the side of the dash and no voltage to the relay and fuse under the hood. I am stumped I have tried to run wire down and I can not find any loose or bad connections, PLEASE HELP, thank you.
when the clutch kicks out or isnt engaged when its supposed to be on, pop the hood and take a piece of 1x2 and a hammer and tap the clutch face plate and see if it comes on, if it does then the air gap on the clutch is out too far
I have tried tapping on the front of the clutch and all over the compressor and even run down all wires that have to do with the ac unit, I am just not getting any voltage at the relay and fuse thats under the hood. Do you think it might be the ECM ??? Im stumped. THANKS for your help
Ok here is the deal, I can let the blazer set overnight and everything works fine the next morning but once I drive it for 10 - 15 minutes the ac compressor looses power and the fuse and the relay under the hood has no voltage. I am stumped.
