I have been running a set of NGKs for the last 50k miles(could be 75k). wires are original 1996(125k miles). cap & rotor were 75k miles(10 years?) ago(Delco). I still have decent mileage(tires & lift dont help) and no driveability issues. I guess i should change a few parts, but, it still runs great.

Edit: My spark plugs last longer than differential gears.

biggest thing i noticed in improvements was the cap & rotor. it made a heck of difference in idle quality when i changed em out.

Thanks for the input guys.

I went a little crazy at the parts store

Picked up the delco double plats
declo cap and rotor, would have grabbed delco wires but I'm not spending 85 bucks on wires... Grabbed bosch wires

Picked up both trans filter kits, dunno what pan I have.

gear lube to service the front and rear diffs

Only thing that sucks is I forgot about the t-case, so I guess I'll service that tomorrow.

Not looking forward to doing plugs lol.

Do what I do, put the plug socket on without the ratchet then with the extension just stick the edge of the extension in the socket.(that will be all you`ll be able to get in) worked for me and when I bought the truck that plug was rusted in and it came out

that doesnt work when you just installed new unmushed engine mounts. Ask me how i know lol. it kills that tad bit of clearance.

When I did a compression test on a 2000 blazer, pulled the tires off and inner fender wells, made it a lot easier!

Silver, copper, and gold, followed by aluminum are the best conductors of electricity. AC Delco caps use aluminum terminals. The problem with aluminum is that it oxidizes. A dab of silicone dielectric grease on each terminal, (inside and out) of the cap, slows the oxidation process. The insulation of the runners in the cap is an area that the aftermarket manufacturers fail miserably at, they can't seem to get it right. As a result, you end up with crossfire in the cap. Stick with AC Delco cap & rotor. Make sure that camshaft retard is within factory specs, that alone will increase cap & rotor longevity. AC Delco 41-993 plugs with a gap of .060" along with Autolite Professional Series wires. They're 1/3 the price of AC Delco wires and have better specs.

There's my
