Default Acceleration Problem? 04 Blazer

I think it has been this way for as long as I can remember but when I accelerate from a stop the truck seems a bit sluggish until it switches into second gear. I am wondering if this is a symptom of an aging fuel pump or like a transmission thing. Transmission fluid has been changed at regular intervals and is clean. Fuel filter is less than a year old. It is not a huge problem but I would like to sort it out now as my truck is aging. I want to be preemptive in maintaining this thing. It may essentially be American made garbage but I wouldn't trade this thing in for a Ferrari. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks.
