actuator cable.....
hi i have a 2000 blazer that is stuck in 4x4. this is my first time working on gms great idiea of an electric shifting desaster..... my questions are these....
1) is there suposed to be a constant vaccum(suction) to the actuator ? (witch i seem to have a constant suction)
2)have anny of you had the actuator cable seem to be sticking on you? (witch mine also seems to be)
3)if the actiator cable sticks in the locking position could this be the cause for being stuck in 4x4......
I have manually disengaged the four wheel drive by unplugging the actuator vaccume line and plugged it with a short bolt..Then i had to pull out the actuator because it was staying in a sucked in matter when i did this i heard and felt a little clunk (witch was the cable retracting and the actuator expanding) after this was done instant 2wd.
But im the type of guy that likes most things to work as they should and i dont like mickey moused toys....
im planning on changing both actuator and cable but i would like to be shure this would be the problem......
thank you for anny information you can share...
