Anyone running one? or would it still only be as accurate as the dash gauge?
I'm assuming you just tap into the wiring on the sender? or would this reduce the voltage or something and give false (er) readings?
I've read about permanent mech. gauges and I dont like the risks.

If you want a second gauge I recommend getting a mechanical one rather than another electronic one. Get one that T's into the factory sensor location and runs a line with the oil in it to the gauge.

that would be best, but also potentially dangerous. last thing i want doing 120 down the highway is to be drenched with hot oil lol

I had one in my last truck for 11 years with no problem. If something went wrong for somebody the fault was with their installation.
