Hey everyone hoping someone can help me out here. I bought an 05 blazer and the air bag light comes on only when i have a passenger in the seat it first was intermittant but now always on if someone is in the passenger seat. I dont see any wires under the seat any idea what is causing this.

 

Might be a faulty sensor on the front bumper

 

If it was the front sensor would it not be on all the time even with someone in just the drivers seat

 

Not too sure, someone else might no better... someone else will chime in at some point...

Any codes come up when the air bag comes up?

Also is this a 2 door or 4 door? Doesn't the 2 door have a shut off feature with the key?

Not sure if it has anything to do with it, but possibly... I'm no expert, just a 2nd brain to help ponder...

 

DonL thanks for taking the time to help me out. Its a 2 door but doesnt have the option to turn the passenger bag off so im wondering if there is a sensor in the seat that has gone bad or has a bad connection but i cant find any wires under there
