Airbag Arming Sensor 98 Blazer
I am a new forum member. I have a 98 LS 4 door 4x4 and have the dreaded intermittent airbag light. I have a shop manual but it is for a 97 blazer. It lists an Arming Sensor on the left side of the center frame crossmember. I looked there but could not find it. Does anyone know if there is such a sensor on a 98 and if so, where it is? Thanks in advance for any help!

You really should see what the SRS module has logged for an error before blindly checking/replacing components. You will need a scan tool capable of accessing the SRS module to read the airbag codes, but it is much better to make an informed search.

Really helpful. This seems to be your answer for everything. REmind me again what the purpose of this forum is?

What is with the attitude man? That is the answer for most cases because YOUR truck is trying to tell YOU what's wrong with it. Why would you blindly tear into something when a clue is glaring at you?
You get the code and I will gladly help from there. Or not depending on your attitude. You have to separate your frustration with your vehicle from whatever else you are doing. Remember, no one here is required to help you... They do so with their free time and should not have to put up with a crappy attitude.

My 1999 Chevy Blazer airbag warning light goes on and off whenever.DTC code showes B1036. I'm told that it might be the arming sensor. Can anyone tell me where the sensor is located.
