BCM doesn't control anything with the SIR system. Not sure what data is shared between the BCM and the SIR modules, but it can't be much, and certainly not the light, the SIR module turns that on and off. Have you tried retrieving SIR DTC's?

I only suspected BCM because it went wacky a few months ago and the passlock activated and the alarm wouldn't shut off but it quit the next day.Yes I have a scanner that can read srs codes and it had none. i'm really thinking its a power issue to the module.. im going out now to check power at the fuse first.. Thanks

Update: I have 12 volts at the fuse, I have 12 volts at the yellow wire to the module, I do not get the warning light to come on by grounding wire/pin 7... the little brown one. So there is a wiring issue from that wire to the cluster? Thanks again...

Pink must be hot at the IPC connector, and brown must show ground when you ground it at the air bag module connector. Continuity test or check resistance, (must be 5 ohms or less).

Connector "A" pin #7 pink wire comes from the GUAGES fuse and goes to the LED.

Connector "B" pin #12 brown wire comes from SIR module. Grounding this, with the ignition ON should turn the LED on.

Try grounding the brown at the SIR module pin #7 first.

Was the ignition in the RUN position?

If so, try grounding the brown wire at the IPC connector while it is still connected to the cluster, and the ignition in the RUN position.

Well i think I have found my issue. I was looking at the old dash harness that i have inside that has the brown wire in pin 12, when i got this Bravada i was disappointed there was no Bose radio so I got the dash harness, HU, and all 6 bose speakers and wired it in. It all works great, but on the cluster plug connector there is no brown wire in the #12 socket..... I think its because the harness was from a 2000 or 2001 harness and that one wire was taken out for some reason? I wonder if the airbags are active an ready to fire without the indicator lamp light..
