Default Another 4x4 question 95blazer

I realized my actuator cable was bad. It would no budge. I replaced it and it is free like it should be. However when I push the 4 hi button I still wont push the actuator in. What should I check next? Even if the acuator has a tear in it, shouldn't the cable still push it in?

Never mind. I've been looking at it all wrong. The switch valve on the T/C activates I believe, hence sucking the actuator together, hence pulling the cable at the T/C. Is this right? I'm thinking I need a new switch valve, new hose and an actuator.

The transfer case vacuum switch supplies vacuum to the actuator only when 4WD is selected. Make sure the lines are clear, (no transfer case fluid in them).
