Hi All-

Have a 99 blazer with the stupid passlock system. It failed (killed fuel and wouldn't stay running) when I first got it, and didn't have any problems for about a year.

The other day it did it again. I waited 10 and she fired right up. A couple nights later same thing. Just tonight did the same thing.

I want to get to the bottom of this before it starts not starting on me the second try, or the problem becomes more regular. Problem being I've searched the web and while a lot of people have problems, nobody seems to provide a good answer.

Heres what I think-

It happens with both my keys so I think the keys are likely not the problem (one still looks brand new). Should I replace the switch or the tumbler, and what is involved in either/or? Also I see there is a relearn procedure of some sort?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
