I was in Wally Wals parking lot with the window down idling, when I started to hear a popping sound that very similar to arc welding. I popped the hood and started to look for the source. I didn't see anything but figure it had to be one of the sparkplug wires, well I drove home to see i could get a better look at whats going on. Of course the noise was gone, but I knew something was up. Since I could tell that the noise was coming from the drivers side at Wall Wal I started checking the sparkplug wires. Plain as day the #3 boot on the engine side had a small crack in it and was arcing off the heat shield. Which I'm sure with the motor being hot was a lot wider then when i found it an hour later. Just wanted to share this, just in case anyone is having this same thing happening to them.
