Default HVAC Slave Door

I just broke the white plastic hook that the slave door vacuum actuator (part #13) hooks onto...was wondering if anyone knows if, where, part number, etc of where I can get this at?

It is part number #16 in the diagram.

And I have the manual HVAC , not the Auto.

Mine is broken too. I was thinking of calling a Chevy dealer. It may be a cheap part, but most likely discontinued.

Not what I want to hear...but probably correct.

I think it is time to head to the Pick-A-Part, salvage/junk yard and see what I can find.

If possible I will get more than one.

Yep that be it. Part #52494022...price is okay...between $5.5 and $7...but shipping everywhere is $15 or more.....for one small plastic piece!!

And of course the dash comes out to replace it....oh the fun ahead for me!..

Well I was able to find one on ebay for $13.49 shipped; not overly over-priced.
And just FYI, the part is called an actuator link.

Until then I wedged the slave door in the heat position which will work as long as the fan speed is only set to "1"; greater will move the door. Good thing it is not really cold here....another "Winter" day of 78 today.

Yep, both of those listings are for the same GM part number. My order has shipped, so just waiting for it to arrive and then I get to plan the day for taking the dash out.

Just "maybe" when I have the dash out I can determine why I have heat out the floor and dash vents when I have the temp control on full cold and the HVAC set to OFF.

This is what I was doing when I broke the actuator link...was trying to get the actuator out of the way so I could get two fingers on the temp door motor to see if it was moving on its own for some reason.
