Default Back Glass Squeak

I'm having a problem and I'm hoping some knowledgeable soul around here can keep me from losing my cool with my 2dr blazer. The latch for the back glass squeaks to the point I am reasonably sure I have grey hair from it. I know it's the latch because I've oiled it and it will stop, but a week or so later my culprit returns. Does anyone know of a way to tighten that latch or is a new gasket the permenant fix? Thanks for the info!

If you pull off the cover in the back, there are two bolts that can be loosened to adjust the latch to tighten up the window against the seal. HERE is the information for a rear liftgate, but it should be very similar for the tailgate in your truck.

*EDIT* - HERE are some pictures specific to the tailgate version that is found on your truck.

I always thought it was the 2 rubber grommets that lock against the mounting bracket for your spare tire in the back, used some white grease to cure my problem

Thanks for the quick reply guys. I did a quick search for a solution to this problem so as not to bring up the same issue when the info was already available, and obviously I needed to search a little harder. I guess I'll spend a few minutes and a couple of beers tonight to give my poor nerves a break.

I thought it was the tire rack as well, and even the chevrolet dealership said it was the tire rack and to adjust those rubber bumpers, but in a stroke of pure genius (that's sarcasm) I popped the back glass and drove with it open and low and behold the sound was gone.

I know if I don't give my tailgate a good slam, it'll squeak when the glass is closed...
