Default Back up lights don't work

I was backing up the other day and notice my lights didn't work. I checked the lights and they are ok. I also checked the fuses and they are ok. Anybody have any ideas or anything else I need to check?

First thing, move the stick slowly through the gears, and see if at any point the lights DO come on...

Second, there's a contact in the reverse linkage. See if you got 12V coming in. If so, jump the switch, and watch the lights light up. If not, the short is between the contact and the wiring split-off to the 2 lights.

Got multimeter?

If not, use the old analog fallback electricity detector:

Im workin on everthing it seems like. I have electrical problems with my climate controls. My blend door actuator doesn't work for the most part. I've never check the reverse linkage. I'm not sure what you mean. I think your talking about the wiring on the transmission?? No I don't have a multimeter and don't know what a fallback electricity detector is?

I also noticed the third brake light doesn't work. Would that have anything to do with it?
