Default BallJoints Question

Im full of questions lately, haha

Dont get me wrong I know how to do the BJ's on these trucks, since I did the ones on my now sold 98 Bravada.. but the situation was different

On the 98 they were ALL riveted in, so I had to go through the motions of removal with the half shaft and such..

My 97 is calling for uppers and lowers, however they have been done before, not by me but they HAVE been done, so they are all bolted in besides the upper passenger side..

My question is.... Do I have to remove the half shaft since I can easily wrench on the bolts? with getting the BJ stub out of the control arms, a little motivation with pb blaster, a BFH and a pickle fork should do fine

thank you for any answers ahead of time!
