My 2000 Blazer has a parasitic drain that was around 1.7-2 amps. I managed to narrow it down to Fuse 19(Radio Batt) but that dropped it down to 70 mA. When I pulled the TBC fuse, it drops all the way down to 0. I know that the TBC/BCM is supposed to have some draw on he battery, but it seems like the 70 mA is still too much. After I got the battery recharged, it was at 12.97 volts. It's been about 5 days and it's dropped to 12.4 volts. The battery itself is still new and, as far as I can tell, the alternator is still okay but is a bit old.
What does the TBC fuse power besides the BCM?
How should I go about diagnosing it?
I know that the Radio/Batt fuse powers the radio, instrument panel and the climate control and I remember reading that Chevy trucks tends to have a problem with the instrument panel draining the battery. How can I confirm this? Can I just unplug each and see how the multimeter reacts?
Lastly,since my truck wouldn't start because of the drain, I found a temporary workaround by pulling the Fuse 19 when I'm not using the truck then putting it back in when I'm driving. Does that cause any problems or can I keep doing that until I can get the issue resolved?

I have a 1999 Blazer. For the last year I've been trying to trace down that parasitic drain. If I drove the vehicle every couple of days it was fine, but, if I let it sit for several days I would have to jump start it.
It had an aftermarket, (Dealer installed), keyless entry/alarm. I put a meter on it and that was the drain. I just ripped it all out yesterday, wait and see now. Lost the use of the key fob remotes, I just going to resort to old school and just use a key to get in. The electric locks still work from manual controls inside.
My whole point to you is even though you have GM remotes, it may still be the aftermarket setup. Hope this helps. Let me know if you need anything else.

That's OK. But if you end up still chasing a parasitic drain I typically can have quite a bit of what I consider to be good info. So if you need further help then holler, but start a new thread from scratch please.
