belt replacement
I got an 03 Blazer and last weekend my daughter was out wheeling and she came home on crawl mode because of a squeak. It had squeaked a little on and off but she told me it was really loud. As she was pulling into the subdivision the squeak went away and it's whisper quiet now.
So I pulled off the belt and my AC pulley is not spinning right so I am going to put the short belt.
Do I need to add a idler pulley in the system for the short belt? I am low on funds and need that truck this week. She's guiding a group for a caving run.
Worst part was the the AC was still working...sucks to loose it.

I'm using this belt: NAPA- NBH 25-060840. (6 rib 84 inch belt)
Routed like this(you have to remove the idler pulley to run it like this)
Your other option is to remove the compressor, and put an AC bypass pulley on. This will keep your factory size belt.

So the short belt can work with the system that is there? no added pulley? I'm broke now and trying to make this cheap.
