I have a 2002 s 10 blazer just turned 100,000 miles. it has been acting strange lately. the truck starts and runs fine till it gets warm, it has been getting hot mostly when the air is on (the hot weather here doesn't help) lately when it gets warm it just dies. let it set for a few min. starts then runs for about 2 min, then dies. start it runs then dies. someone told me it could be the cat. took it off the pre cat was trashed the insides were melted and broke up and most of it were in the cat. changed it with new exhaust every thing from exhaust manifolds back. after all that i start the truck let it warm up and guess what it still dies. I am hoping that someone out there has some ideas as to what the problem could be

I would first check for codes, regardless if the CEL light is on or not. Just in case of pending codes retrieved, they will help in diagnosing issue. Also, Go through some of the relays and their connectors, mainly looking for corrosion or weak contact points. If all is well there, next hook up fuel pressure gauge...1st while truck acts normal and then again when truck starts and stalls. Psi should read at least 55 while running at idle, when revving 2k RPM @58-62Psi. When it stalls see how fast fuel pressure falls in 10mns. then repeat 2-3 times.
The things I listed above will show lots of info and should make great headway in solving whatever problem you may be having. I strongly believe it is a fuel issue you are having from the symptoms. Good luck! Can't wait to hear an update!

sounds a little like the pick up in the dizzy.at work i have had a fare few Chev's with similar issue's although normally they run fine cold by the time there at running temp start missing and carrying on then die till the dizzy cools off a little. when it stops next take a spare spark plug plug it into a plug lead sit it on the engine block or a good earth and spin over the engine whilst looking at the plug see if spark is present

Sorry to post to an old thread, but I'm wondering if changing the ICM fixed your problem. I'm having the same problem with mine. Once the engine gets hot it dies. I pop the hood, wait for a while, then it runs fine for a little while, then the throttle becomes unresponsive and it dies again. I've been stranded out in the woods a few times and now I'm leery about taking it out of town.

The MSD SUCKS on chevys... I've always had to remove them from vehicles... darn young people expect to get automatic performance out of them....like cold air intakes. SMH Nothing but issues and CEL codes and they wind up throwing parts at it until they come to me....Then I rid the engine of all that poison MSD....
