Default Blazer Replacement Brakes

My 2002 Blazer (2wd) needs new brakes. I have 126K miles on the truck and the brakes still have some miles left on them! How do I choose after market brake pads and rotors ro get the same incredible life and zero brake dust? The front rotors did warp so an upgrade there might be a benefit.

Thanks,

George[/align]

Rule of thumb is the more $$you pay, the better the quality.
At the very least you want a semi-metallic pad or upgrade to ceramic. You can pay as little as $25 for off shore rotors but as I say, you get what you pay for.
I'm in Canada and unaware of all the brands available in the States (I'm assuming that you're in the US)

What he said.
I gather those are the factory original parts. If so, go back to the dealer and buy your parts there.

Well I am not sure that the statement, you get what you pay for holds true anymore. I recently last year replaced the rotors on my '99 Pontiac G/A. Payed for Raybestos Name and the box came with "made in China" stickers with Raybestos part numbers...payed $35+ each for them not the $17+ ea for the low end rotors that Schucks listed for Raybestos at schucks.partsamerica.com...

i myself use to be into street racing and what not, and i had much experience with brake systems. the best rotors that i have used are brembo. as for brake pads i had hawk ceramic pro pads. with that combination my car stopped on a dime. so i would highly recommend those. tirerack.com is real helpful with choosing stuff like that, with the variety of brands they carry, with their tech help, and they ship quick. i never had a problem with those rotors warping or anything and the pads didn't dust out of the norm from what i was using them for. but honestly if they are stock brakes still on ur blazer i would def. go back and find the exact same parts and put them on again as stated before. since obviously they suit ur driving habbits and needs.
hope this helps out
