Default Blazer running rather warm.

I have a 2003 ZR2 blazer, it seems to run a little under 210 degrees like 2 or 3 incraments below it on the gauge, its always at this temp when im driving, it seems to warm up a little fast. I feel that this is a little too warm compared to other zr2s in my area.
Another thing is when i start it after running it it goes over 210 temp, but quickly comes down to were it sits normally.
The all radiator fluid is orange, nothing has mixed... there may be some corosion in the radiator it seems mabey it needs a flush? I've watched the intake gasket but this couldnt be it as it seems fine. I have around 79k miles if it matters.
Any suggjestions would be very much appreciated!

Last year I brought my radiator in to have it cleaned, it was clogged with coagulated bits of Dexcool. You may want to get your radiator cleaned.

Flush the coolin system with plain ol water from the hose. Then see i that works if not get a thermo 12 bucks from napa. If anything u may need a fan clutch. Does it make alot o noise upon start up?? If it does its workin fine if not i would get one

It migt also be that u have a leak some where and the w pump is sucking in outside air?? Most of the time on these engines the intakes leak causing somethin like this issue but its not a dead certintie. I would say replace the thermo with an o.e ac delco and watch for leaks around the water pump and radiator cap... yes radiator caps failing can also cause the same issue your having but again its not a dead certintie

yea that was one of the problems i was having was the radiator cap was bad but i replaced that and it still does it but never gets too hot just about to 210 at the max, what worries me is just when you turn it off and start it back up the temp rises above 210 but then will come right back down.

I would say leave it alone then man......it could be the hot coolant siting on the temp sensor for a period of time when the engine is off making the temp rise????
