blazer wont start
hey i have a 1996 blazer 4.3 4x4
i have been having a ongoing problem with my blazer, probly 5 months ago it bogged on me while accelerating rather quickly but nothing ever happened after that for a long time.
then after awhile it began to not crank on the first time i would have to turn the key on and off and on and off many times before it would crank but when it would crank it would idle and drive just fine.
then after i got done driving it would not want to start again after letting it sit for awhile.
now it is to the point where i can get it to start after many times of rolling it over but when it gets crunk up i can not give it gas hardly at all without it bogging and wanting to cut off. i can give it gas ever so gently while it is park and neutral and it will slowly build rpms but if i give it anymore throttle it will try to die again.
now i thought it might be the fuel pump but after testing my fuel pressure with a gauge, it reads a good 42-50 psi when turning the key on or while trying to crank it. and it also holds the pressure too.
so if anyone has any info feel free to help me out
thanks in advance
and if any questions please ask

RE: blazer wont start
The fuel pressure with the key in the 'on' position should be ~60psi. You're not getting enough fuel to the injectors.

I concur. The fuel pressure needs to be in excess of 55psi for proper stawrting of the engine. The poppet nozzles used in the fuel injection system require atleast 52psi to even open.

Well, if it's been more than 30k since the filter was changed, then do so, then check the pressure.

well i changed the filter and then let the pump run a few times and then it still would not crank
so when i went to hook up my fuel pressure gauge i accidentily hit the needle on the valve and gas shot out so it had some pressure, well i got the gauge hooked up to it and now the fuel pump will not come back on.
anybody know whats going on here im getting really frustrated with this thing
thanks for the help so far
