Default blower motor cutting out and back on

Hi all! Can someone help me out please? I couldnt find anything in the forum on this specific issue im experiencing. The blower motor will randomly shut off while driving down the road. Whether its 5 seconds, 5 minutes or not until the next day will it come back on and its just out of the blue with no indicators what so ever. There is no certain pattern it does it in or when hitting a bump or anything like that. Everything is ac delco also.

Are you referring to the HVAC blower motor? Are you sure it is turning on and off or is it that the air could be being redirected from one outlet to another? If the later, it could be that you have a vacuum leak in the hoses that supply vacuum to both the front axle engagement and the HVAC system.

Hi Cristine 208, you have a bad connection where the plug meets the blower on the firewall pass. side.I just had the exact problem with mine, here's what I did I unplugged my blower and inspected the plug and I found that the plug had started to melt because of the poor connection so I gently took a pair of small needle nose pliers and chipped the charred plastic from the plug and then slightly bent the two prongs closed a little so that they would fit more snugged into the connector. And lastly, I sprayed some electronic spray into both parts and let them dry then I reconnected the plug, and it ran constantly for 20minutes until I decided to turn it off. I hope this helps, and btw someone told me that GM is bad about this issue.
