Default Blowing fuse for tiftgate, inter lights,mirrors......

I have looked through the pages and have not found anything that will really help me. I have a 96 Jimmy SLS 4 door, my fuse(courtesy fuse slot 2) keeps blowing when ever i put in a new fuse in. This fuse is for the liftgate, inter lights, mirrors, power seats, horn, cig liter. I have torn apart every panel to try and find the problem. I thought I fixed it once by moving some stuff around in the tailgate though about a month later it started up again. I am thinking it is from a dead short somewhere from the the tailgate to the fuse box under the dash. I have tryed to trouble shoot it by disconnecting everything then connecting one at a time nothing blew until I put everything back together that hit the liftglass release a couple of times. If anyone else has had this problem or has any ideas i would be grateful i miss using my tailgate and liftglass, Thanks a lot

lastcoupe, had made a suggestion in another thread quite similar to this. His suggestion was to check the wiring under the seat for shorts. This is a quite common occurance. Might want to start there and see how things go.

Good luck!

Great! Glad I could help!! Hopefully it doesn't happen again and was just a fluke. If you find that you are continuously blowing fuses, you may have a fault in the wiring somewhere that will need to be found and fixed to keep from having bad things happen...
