Default Brake issue

So i believe i figured out what that grinding is just tonight driving home i felt it again many times when i come to a stop at a low speed a really weird grinding feeling and sound i can hear. So i opened my window and the brakes are making a really bad grinding squeaking sound.

Are my brake pads shot?? also what pads and rotors should i get i think i will get Napa they are really good Another question can i put new brake pads on old rotors i dont think it should hurt them.

You really need to have a look at them. More than likely, your pads have worn out.

Napa brake parts are fairly good. I have used their parts on a lot of different vehicles. If you can get ceramic pads, do it, but also get some of the vibration dampening stuff to put on the back of the pads before you assemble them and follow the directions. Also, clean all pad mounting surfaces with a flat file. This will also reduce the tendancy for squeal.

As far as putting new pads on old rotors, while it can be done, you should assess the condition of the rotors first. If the rotors are groved or rusted heavily, then you will need to replace them. If the rotors look good, then you should be able to use them.

Please put your vehicle information in your signature so advice can be given with more specifics (if possible). It just helps to know what it is you are working with.
