Default my guess

I'll take the ground wire under the air filter box on frame next to radiator for the win!...Clean the ground connection there.

Do both rear turn signals work?
Do both rears work with the 4 way hazard switch?

1./ Yes, both rear turn signals work--left and right.

2./ Yes, both rear turn signal bulbs work with Hazards on. However the 3rd high mounted brake light does not work with Hazards.

1. Is there battery voltage on the orange wire at the stop lamp switch at all times?

2. Does the white wire at the stop lamp switch show battery voltage when you apply the brake pedal?

3. Does the dark green with white trace wire at the multifunction switch show battery voltage when you apply the brake pedal?

On these three tests, can I un plug the connector from the Stop Light Switch= SLS and probe the connector with the DVOM lead? Or do I need to leave the connector plugged into the SLS and back probe the connector? I am asking because it is very tight in there.

Orange wire doesn't matter, just need to know if it has voltage all the time. The white wire you can test at the multifunction switch, but the SLS must be connected when you apply the brake and test it. All of this will tell us if SLS voltage is making it up the multifunction switch.

Thanks, Captain. I will do the tests recommended, but bear with me I am frustrated by the inaccessable switches and tight confines. I have trouble even getting in the under dash space to see it. Also the changes in weather has worked against me.

Hopefully the worst of it is checking voltage at the stop lamp switch. The rest of it shouldn't be nearly as tight quarters. You can always start at the multifunction switch and let the results determine which way the problem is. Typically I like starting at the voltage source and working my way out to the problem. Really doesn't matter though, we can do it either way.
