Default Brake light switch problem

Hi there ! I've a problem with the brake light switch on my 95 Blazer S10.
I've replaced it a few weeks ago ( a brand new Ac Delco switch ), and now it doesn't work again. If I move it with the hand it works again, during a few miles...
I've checked the contacts inside the switch, everything is good. I've put it again on the truck, it worked.... But not a long time...

Does anybody had the same issue ?

Have you checked the two fuse panels to see if any fuses are 'blown' ?

my guess is new switch is bad and hanging up inside, also double check the adjustment of the switch in the bracket the switch could be moving around in the bracket [been there done that on both]

Jim, the fuses are good, it works if I move manually the switch.

I've checked inside the new switch, the spring looks very hard but everything else is good.

If it works manually wonder if it is something in the way it's installed..It is allittle tricky..and as previously stated, there is a 'plunger' adjustment on it...Jerry

Well, I've opened the switch, and replaced the spring. I've driven on a few miles, and it still works

Here is the stock spring, very strong :

And there the new one :

I hope it will work definitly.

Well, after a few weeks, it still works. So changing the little spring was a good idea

Having the same problem! I replaced the combo switch because the hazard button was broken and now the brake lights do not work. But the turn signals and hazard work fine.

Check your brake light switch on the pedal. The first time I had a problem with the hazard button too, but now it's on the pedal switch...
