Anyone know the specific size of the rear metal brake lines on a 2001 Blaze?

One of the ones on the frame rail on the drivers side has rusted through. I am 20 mile from the nearest parts store so I do not want to cut a piece out and bring it in for size match. This is the first time I have ever replaced the complete brake line and I ask for any tips any of you gear heads can give me.

Also what do I need for fittings?

the ones that are on the very back that run along the axle itself should be 3/16 standard thread brake lines. if that line is the same size theres your answer... if its a hair bigger itll be 1/4 inch line. i do so many brake lines at work but cant recall but i have never seen two different sizes then those two. also spray down the ends youre going to take off. alot of times the line that the line your taking off might brake along with it.

come to think of it you probably are better pulling off the line and bringing it. for one the distance you have to go you dont wanna have to go back twice and second i was working on a a early 90s buick roadmaster that actually had 1/4 inch bubble flair brake lines and no one sells that line or adapters. the boss actually was able to make one thank god.

Yeah, they are 1/4" lines. What really suck is having to remove all the snow and mud to get to them. Oh and does any one else had it when they give you the wrong f'n size line and swear up and down it is the correct one?....

Off topic but should people who work in a part store have to pass some sort of automotive proficiency test?....Just because the "computer" says one thing doesn't mean its right?.....grrrrrrr ok enough emo-ing.

thats almost normal there. thats why i recommend to bring the old one up to match line size and thread.
