brake pedal travel

Default brake pedal travel

got a 99 4x4 with 156000 on it i have tried searching with no luck i was having problems with my brakes so they got a overhaul new rotors, pads, calipers, master cylinder, brake booster because it was shot the master cylinder was bled before install all brakes where bled after everything was installed but i still have about 3 inches of brake pedal travel before i get brakes is this normal ? thanks

a lot of people say you need the tech2 scanner for s10s ive done so many and have never needed a scan tool. bleed at the mastercylinder lines first, do both maybe like 6 times or a few times after air stops coming off. then bleed at the abs lines if you can get at them then bleed the backs again then the fronts.

also theres always a chance that some of the brakes are installed incorrectly. rears way out of adjustment or something screwy up front
