Ok I just finished swapping a rear end from a 99 explorer into my 96 blazer. Originally I had drum in the back and now I have disc. I went around and bled the brakes twice. Starting with the tire farthest from the MC (master cylinder)and working closer. My pedel still feels very spongy and has to be applied almost all the way down for the brakes to work. Now I made the mistake of pushing the brake all the way down when the back brake lines were unhooked. So do you think I just have air in the MC or do you think I need a new prop. valve because of the switch from drum to disc? If I do need a new prop. valve could I just go to autozone and buy one for a 98-03 blazer with 4-wheel disc? Would it screw in the same?
Next I have a question about my parking brake. I'm not planning on putting a new one on, and I pulled the old one out. Now I have the parking brake light on. Is there a sensor or something can pull to turn the light off? Or what can I do to get the light off?
Any help would be great. Thanks!

Are you sure that the proportioning valve is all that needs to be changed? The volume of brake fluid necessary to actuate the calipers has increased a good amount as well.
The sensor for the parking brake should be above the pedal, on the pedal assembly.

So am I better off going to a junkyard and getting the whole brake booster, MC, and prop. valve off a second gen. blazer with 4-wheel disc brakes?

Not to drag this off track or anything, but why did you put a explorer rear end instead of one off a jimmy, blazer, or bravada with disc brake rears?

Heres a quick copy and paste I took from another board when someone did the swap.
So basically its a way better rear end and is pretty cheap. I picked mine up complete with brakes for $200. And that seems to be about the average price if you shop around.
Ford Explorer rear ends were similar in width and were supposedly a good match to swap. Their rear end has a ring gear of 8.8 inches and is just as strong as a Chevy 12 bolt. They also have massive 1.32" diameter axles with 31 splines. On top of that, the limited slip rears only come in 3.55, 3.73, or 4:10 gears. All 3 are pretty awesome gears for street/strip. Last but not least!!! - if you find one out of a '95+ Explorer, then they will have disc brakes - yes!! Then you would be upgrading strength, adding a posi, getting better gears, and making a huge rear brake upgrade to discs all in one swap - can you imagine the money saved from doing that to your 10 bolt?
