Default broken distributor

I've been working on a misfire issue and was taking the distributor cap off today. Took the front screw out and the whole cap came loose. Found this on the back side. Does this mean a whole new distributor?

Probably. I lost a screw for my cap and had alot of play and weird running issues. Put the cap back on and start it. see if it runs any differently.

Common problem.....I used RTV to hold the cap in place.

When I had my engine out I built up the underside with epoxy. Next door neighbor had the same problem.

Be creative, think what they could have done on Apollo 13 if they had J D Weld.
