I just got a new compressor and accumulator. I havnt ran ac in my blazer in almost 3 years, do i still need to get it evacuated? and if i fill it what kind of freeon do i need to use on it

 

Chances are thre system is empty but its a good idea to have it evacuated. It shouldn't cost much, and its cheaper then the penalty for venting lol. Be sure you use the correct oil for the compressor. I'm guessing from your screen name you have a 99. If it is you need PAG oil and R134a. It should be marked under the hood how much you need, don't remember off the top of my head.
