Can't always get my keys out
Sometimes when I put my Blazer in parkit won't release the key lock. I have figuered out that the only time it happens is if I put it in park and it dosen't roll back and catch. It's really getting annoying since some times I have to have someone push on the front or put my legs out and roll it back and forth till I can get my keys out. Any one have any ideas?

RE: Can't always get my keys out
First, when you park use the parking brake. For your transmission's longevity, you do NOT want the vehicle to always roll back and hit the parking pawl. Your goal should be to avoid that event.
Key release problems can have a number of causes:
1) Steering wheel has turned and loads up the key lock. Fix: wiggle the wheel while removing key.
2) Auto trans shift cable stretches and isn't positioning shift indicator correctly. fix: new shift cable.
3) There are various electronic issues that can happen inside the steering column - including a solenoid that has to release. You can often trigger it manually by inserting a small screwdriver upward in a hole next to the key and pushing the solenoid. Fix: new solenoid.
And so on....
