Can't find correct brake line
Hi,
i know this is a Blazer site but hoping you can help.
I am trying to fix my son's 2000 Jimmy SLE. His Left front brake hose went bad. Got it off fine, clean up all the surfaces as needed. Now, I can't seem to find the right part. 1st part the brake line bolt was too big for the female in of the brake hose. They gave me one for a blazer that fit the brake line but the fitting on the crooked on was backwards to the caliber. I can't seem the find the right hose. Any ideas what part is and why I am having so much trouble?
Here is the VIN # if that helps.

Have you tried looking at Rock Auto?
What I will also do is look at a GM parts retailer online to find part numbers that they have (even if they are no long available from them) so that I can then use to cross-reference with the part numbers I find at places like Rock Auto.

You can always take the old hose, or what is left of it, into the parts store to match the new one up. I used AC Delco 18J3430 on my driver's side front and AC Delco 18J1454 on the passenger side.
Hope that helps!

There's a guy local to me who makes custom brake hoses out of rubber or braided stainless. He can even take your ends off and reuse them, if necessary. And it doesn't cost much more than off-the-shelf stuff.
