And possible causes for a small leak include a bad seal between the fuel pump and tank, a pin hole in a rubber hose anywhere in the EVAP system, a faulty seal in the vent solenoid, or a bad gas cap seal.

The Purge solenoid, if leaking, should trigger a different code as it wouldn't be a leak in the sense of decreasing the vacuum in the system. If it would leak, it would increase the vacuum pulled on the system.
OK that rules out the Purge solenoid.

Gas Cap was replaced.

Which brings me back to the Vent solenoid or a pin hole in the Evap system.

The top of the Steel Fill Tube feels rusty, I don't think it is rusted through ( no gas smell when sitting under the car) But I guess a leaky Fill tube would cause the Evap leak too.

Help me out here. Charcoal canister by back wheel runs to Vent solenoid that runs up to Purge solenoid and into the Intake? Is that the route?

i had a small leak in my 99. I fogged the system at work and it was leaking around the filler neck. So that a possibility. They are pricey though.

Default UPDATE: Still can't find it!

Now I have to admit that I'm not the most mechanically inclined guy but I've been able to follow these posts and make several simple to moderate fixes.

I cannot find the Vapor Canister Purge Valve. I've read that on the 2-Door it's behind a shield attached to the fuel tank cover but I still can't find it. Unbolted the entire fuel tank cover yesterday but still couldn't find it.

I'm not getting any error codes and truck is running great. It's just a real pain in the [email protected]@ filling my tank. My next trip is into Pep Boys and my budget is shrunk. Any help or advice would be MOST APPRECIATED!

Thanks, jeff

On a 2000 2-door (only 2-door I've worked on) there's a big plastic cover beneath the fuel tank, 8 bolts I believe. Remove that and you can see the fuel tank. In back of the fuel tank, toward the rear of the truck it's perched up on a crossmember with a single hose and 2-wire electrical connector. That's the VENT valve. The purge valve (unless they moved it) is located on the intake manifold, passenger side. It's near the aluminum ignition control module and will have a small black plastic line and 2-wire electrical connector attached to it.

Default UPDATE: Not the Purge Valve

So I finally found the Vapor Canister Purge Valve. I had the wrong part. The one i had was square for a trailblazer. The right part was cylindrical in shape for my Blazer LS. Thanks for help finding it...but alas that wasn't the problem. Any other ideas? Gas can only trickle in. I'm not getting any error codes and truck runs great. Just takes a while to fill the tank. Thanks, Jeff

Where was the one that you replaced? The valve at the back of the truck should have been rectangular. The one on the engine is cylindrical.

I was having problems for a while with the code coming on when I got below 1/4 tank then would clear itself every time I filled the tank.
