Yeah it is possible but you will get an SES light from the O2 sensor. You can buy a O2 Sensor plug to fix that though. Also, running with no cat is a federal offense... so be careful!

Running straight pipes will eventually ruin your motor because they are designed with the back pressure in mind.

Keep in mind that there is a rather stiff federal fine for not having mandated emissions equipment on your vehicle.

yes i realize the fines and everything but i live in a small town where the police arent exactly....lets say strict lol....u can get away with anything....where can i get one of these 02 sensor plugs at???

It will actually run better with a high flow converter and a free flowing exhaust with a large chamber muffler. Straight pipes sound cool but you will lose bottom end torque.

basicly on a 2000 you have an obd2 computer system witch after 96 all vehicals changed to this and eliminated emission inspection so therefore if you pull the cat it will set a check engine light and you will fail inspection on pre 96 you could get away with it because all that would have to happen is the truck to pass emmison id buy a high flow cat so its leagal and doesnt cause headaches

as stated earlier in the thread you can buy a dummy o2 sensor so you dont get a SES light.
