i will try this and hopefully it breaks up. and any pieces that are still in there will come out on there own because i have no pipe, muffler, or tail pipe on my truck and has been like that for a while. so the pieces will just blow out as i drive around, lol...

just curious, this test pipe piece at the parts store will not have a provision for the O2 sensor right? if not, then what should i do with my second O2 sensor? should i just tie it up as is and let it hang somewhere so it can read fresh air, lol? or do i unplug the sensor and hang up the wiring harness? just curious, what type of muffler do you have?

you can't just "deleate" the O2 sensor, it's gonna throw code, and affect your fuel mileage.
if your truck is already missing the exhaust (not really sure why..........) then just replace the cat. your truck is gonna sound like it's running open exhaust (with a punched cat), and be sure to get you pulled over orther wise.

What I did was snake my dremel up and over the cat from the back side to where my cutout wheel would allow me to cut the stud flush with the nut, then split both in two, to where I was left with a vertical cut that I could hit with a chisel to get the nut halves off. What a pain that job was.
