Default Catalytic Converter?

Well I'm pretty sure I have a clogged converter on my 00' s10 blazer. My question is where exactly is my converter. After the y connection from my manifolds I have what I thought was the converter about the size of a football maybe a little smaller. After that there is a bend in the pipe and then another whatever. It's smaller than the muffler but bigger than the first converter. So which one would be the catalytic coverter? Thanks.

It should be in front of the muffler.

The first object you described is the pre-converter, then the catalytic converter, then the muffler.

California emissions models came with the pre-cat.
