Default Central locking

Can anyone tell me if the central locking on my 2004 Blazer should operate when I put the key in the door as it only seems to work from the buttons on the armrest control pad. ??????????
thanks

Power locks work with the Key FOB, power lock switch on the door panel, or manually. If the tailgate hatch release button has a key slot, it will also lock & unlock the doors.

On the inside of the glove box door, there is a white sticker with several 3 character codes. If "AU0" is present, the vehicle is equipped with remote entry, (key FOB). Replacement remotes are available at most auto parts stores, Amazon, and Ebay at a reasonable cost. Programming is explained in the owners manual, and usually comes with the replacement remote.

If AU0 is not present, there are aftermarket keyless remote systems available. However, they are definitely a "buyer beware" item as they can be problematic and cause other electrical gremlins to appear in the vehicle.

Thanks again Captain Hook, unfortunately I only have the AU3 code. That's cool I'll live with it, one less job to do :^)
All the best

Yup, AU3 option is power locks, not equipped with remote.
