don't know about cheap....but running a midgrade fuel you'll notice alittle better throttle response. if you really want a bigger difference, like most anything its not free. i wish it was though

The local caseys gas the 89 is priced as 87 and the 87 as 89. Its not a mistake. Just something quirky in bushnell

taske your throttle body off, remove the blade and hack off the diverter

clean you egr/throttle body/IAC

take your back seat out, spare tire off, roof rack and side mirrors off, dump your valance and inner fender walls, remove your transfer case, half shaft, accuator and all other 4wd components, then take off your doors and rear hatch

air up your tires

stay at no more than 1/4 tank for fuel and run the highest grade you can (better than free because a 1/4 tank of 91 is less than a full tank of 87!) but beware as the longer you run your fuel pump at low levels the faster it will burn out

cut off your exhaust pipe just off the headers but before it merges into one

take off your air cleaner assembly from the throttle body forward OR just the air box

take a cutting wheel and slash small grooves into any large lugs in your tire tread

and

no matter what happens, stomp the gas each time you neeed to get moving

those should all buy you a bit. some are more useful than others, and you can use search to find out more about any that you may be interested in

at what visual cost. lol, on the mirrors im sure you have to have those to be legal on the road. plus you could cut the back "top" off and make it look like a k5 blazer, less weight=more speed

Good call i never though of the chop top

and you're also right, the d side mirror stays.... so to make up for weight, you will have to remove your parking brake assembly, front air diverter (in front of radiator) and any and all skid plates you have under her.

if you're a 2dr loose the spare tire carrier

also the grille has gotta go

Hey ABN31B,

Where did you get the grill for the blazer in your signature?
