check engine light 4wd switch
96 blazer LT 4wd. My check engine light had been on. Well, I finally engaged the 4wd Hi button due to our recent massive snow amounts. Wallah! The check engine light went away/off. Any clues as to why?

I once worked on a late 70's Olds Toronado where the intermittent wipers would take a swipe across the windshield every time you pressed the brake pedal. Fixed by replacing a taillight bulb and a fuse.
I once worked on a 75 Chevy Pickup where the engine would die (like you shut it off) every time you hit the brakes when rolling forward - but not when standing still or backing up. Fixed by replacing the starter solenoid.
I once worked on a 87 Olds Firenza that would start fine for a couple of seconds and then die like you shut off the engine. Fixed by replacing the alternator.
5000 points each to anyone who can tell me the logic behind each weird problem!
