Chevy Blazer brake pedal whoosh sound ?

Default Chevy Blazer brake pedal whoosh sound ?

Hello !!! need some help , my brakes have a whoosh sound when press, is a booster failure ?

Sure sounds like a booster failure to me. Open hood and check the hose into booster, could be a simple cheap fix if just the hose instead of the booster.

Hmm my pedal does that sometimes when i press on it quickly. But my brakes still work perfectly. Do your brakes still work fine on the road? Is there a lot of travel between the pedal at rest and your brakes engaging? Since you have a 1996, will be just like mine, it might just be the extended travel until our drum brakes engage. They will engage a little later than disc brakes since they are less powerful. Anyone who has a 98+ has 4 way disc. If you don't have to press very hard to start braking then you brake booster is probably fine. That is my opinion

Brakes work fine at the road but I want buy a new Brake Booster prevention first, what you think ????

if you like spending money on unessesary things. there is a brake booster valve on the hose that connects to it
