Just purchased a 1996 Blazer. The ashtray is missing and the plug for the cigar lighter and 2 auxiliary plugs is unplugged. I cannot locate where this plugs in. Just had the stereo replaced today and the installer could not find where to plug it in either. Any help would be appreciated.

Maybe you have a dash from an 05 as they didn't come with an ashtray ??

No the ashtray is just gone, I'm looking for a replacement on EBay. The previous owners installed the stereo themselves and kind of made a mess of it. That's when I'm thinking the lighter became unplugged and the ashtray disappeared. I just cannot find where this lighter plugs back into.

 

I wouldn't be surprised if they used the cig. lighter wires to power the stereo...

If not, the wires should be tucked up somewhere underneath the dash.
