Clicking noise behind glovebox

Clicking noise behind glovebox
Now that the weather is colder when I first start my truck there is an intermittent clicking noise behind the glovebox. Sometimes it sounds like the directionals are on. Once the truck warms up it goes away. Any advice?

Do you by chance have a cell phone service with direct connect? If so turn your radio off before you start your truck and see if it goes away. Strange but my Nextel clicks through my radio sometimes for no reason. Or at least I always thought it was the radio.

My prevoius '98 LT clicked too. It was a relay. Up under the glove compartment.

yep I've seen this an several 1998 Blazers and Jimmys (yea for some reason 1998 only!). It's the hazard/turn signal flasher module (lower the glove box and you'll see a 1" square (approximately) box with a green zip-tie holding it in that's the culprit.

Well look on the bright side, usually the guys on here tell people to change stuff that is a lot more expensive that a silly turn signal relay. Keep asking and soon you'll be doing a complete engine rebuild.
AND IT WILL STILL BE CLICKING!!!!!!
