Clicking noise coming from driver front tire
I have a 1998 S10 4x4 Blazer the problem is that when im driving there is this kind of loud clicking noise coming from the driver front tire. I proceeded to take off the tire to try and figure out what was causing the noise. I turned the roter by hand and noticed the noise is coming from where the CV shaft connects to the transfer case ( I think thats what that long rod that connects to the transfer case is called but not im sure) . Does anyone have a clue what that can be; Im guessing it may be some kind of bearing, but im not sure. Can someone please help thanks
your cv is going bad. pretty soon it will be more than just clicking. there is a bearing inside the boot that will start clicking and eventually pop out and make horrible grinding noises. and your 4 wheel drive won't work anymore. a new CV is $100 from napa auto parts and pretty simple to replace
