Default clicking sound from glove box???

once in a while I will get a clicking sound from the glove box area that sounds like the blinker clicking. it has been doing this since my grandma has had the blazer and was just wondering if this is a common problem?

There are 3 relays I believe in the box, one of them more than likely controls the blinker. If it isn't affecting anything don't worry too much about it.

yeah mine has been doing that for a year now. If it keeps making noise and wont stop I found that moving the multi-function switch around it will stop.

Multi-function switch == turn signal stalk. Move the stalk around. You can also see if it is just the hazard switch (on top of the steering column) by messing with it (moving it around, pushing it in and out, etc.).

i tried that and the hazard switch has no effect on the clicking, but i did tap on the bottom of the steering column and that seemed to help, but is still there. i just do not want to spend 120 bucks on a new switch, maybe i can find one in a junkyard

I had the same problem after I removed my dash to put a new radio in. Besides the clicking sound my lights wouldn't work either. Found out I had forgotten to reconnect one of the wires to my headlight switch. Not sure if this would help or not but just letting you know.

i think for the time being, i am going to wrap something around the relay to deaden the clicking noise, i do not have an extra 150 bucks to get a new switch, so i will get something that is a temporary fix
